Stephanie Rice
Ever since Stephanie Rice appeared at the 2007 World Championships, she has captured the attention of the nation.
First, an Australian record, then 3 Olympic gold medals to her merit,... and her famous love affair with fellow superfish Eamon Sullivan.
With good looks and great talent, Rice stole our hearts. But that didn’t keep her free from controversy. Her soap opera style break-up with Eamon Sullivan was highly publicised. Around the same time she quickly earned a reputation as a ‘Party Girl’ when pictures of her dressed as a policewoman were splashed across the media. And who can forget that kiss with US swimming champion Michael Phelps, which once again sparked rumours of her partying ways.
Unaffected by the attention, both good and bad, it’s easy to forget Stephanie Rice is just 21 years of age.
Stephanie has taken control of the media, the Olympics and now she ventures into new waters where she is taking control of her business affairs. Now self-managing her career, Rice decided to walk away from her management company International Quarterback, after deciding that their industry-standard 20 percent commission (equivalent to $150,000 last year) was too much.
