Megan Hustwaite: Hit and Miss at the Allan Border Medal
STUNNING shades and amazing accessories were the winners on the red carpet at last night’s Allan Border Medal.
Watermelon, aubergine, nude and classic black featured prominently, while loads of bling and Chanel tattoos were eye catching.
And then there was the frock shock, Hayley Bracken who left little to the imagination in what she described as a `mermaid and rain forrest’ inspired dress.
The captain’s wife always leads by example and Rianna Ponting’s Nicola Finetti number featured a gorgeous cascading train. After last year’s knicker-gate, Jessica Bratich went the demure option in a black embellished Ruth Tarvydas gown and Lee Furlong shone, just like her fiancé – the AB Medal winner – in Carla Zampatti.
HIT:
*Queen WAG Lara Bingle bowled us over again, this time in her plunging white frock and fashion forward Chanel tattoos. Very polished.
*Lee Furlong’s backless gown with exaggerated shoulders was so now. Teamed perfectly with Louis Vuitton clutch and Roberto Cavalli accessories.
*Commonwealth Games gold medallist Tamsyn Lewis sparkled in a purple Leiela number. The partner of wicketkeeper Graham Manou relished the opportunity to don something other than a Lycra running suit.
MISS:
*Hayley Bracken in her own revealing design. Wrong on so many levels.
*Katrina Quaine, girlfriend of Peter Siddle, appeared to be channelling a rainbow Paddlepop.

Looking gorgeous as always Miss H!
