How do I know this? Well I have done the course and it has benefited me as a Primary Teacher sports coach. The safety and wellbeing of our junior cricketers is mandatory. Cricket Australia supports police and reference checks for all junior coaches (it is currently a legal requirement in New South Wales and Queensland).
On a personal note, co-hosting the online DVD with Michael Slater was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget for years to come. Michael, is not only a remarkable man with a witty personality, he is just so passionate about cricket and getting everyone involved. I felt that promoting the course was more than just a promotion to make Cricket, Australia’s favourite sport; it was also about making a difference to the balance of hegemony in society. Cricket was originally a male dominated sport, where as now women are becoming more involved. Cricket Australia are offering this course to you, free, simply because they want you to make a difference to cricket, and get women involved! Here is your opportunity, go online to www.cricket.com.au/introductiontocricket
