Megan Hustwaite: Allan Border Cheat Sheet
Ladies it’s time for the biggest night on the cricket calendar – the Allan Border Medal and here’s your SKTR guide to the night of nights.
*The Allan Border Medal was first awarded in 2000. It’s named after former Australian captain Allan Border and recognises our country’s most outstanding cricketer of the past season as voted by his peers, the media and umpires.
*Votes are cast after each game on a 3-2-1 basis, with a weighting applied to give both One Day International and Test players an equal chance of winning the award.
*Paceman Glenn McGrath won the inaugural award. Captain Ricky Ponting and his vice captain Michael Clarke tied for the medal last year. Ponting has won award a record four times.

In the past few years the red carpet fashion has exploded quicker than Mitchell Johnson’s bowling.
Queen WAG Lara Bingle never disappoints, the captain’s wife, Rianna Ponting, is always an epitome of class, while all eyes will be on Johnson’s better half, Jessica Bratich, after her knicker-revealing performance last year.
*The Allan Border Medal is on Fox Sports live from 8.30pm and on Channel 9 at 10.30pm.
